- • 720,000 children have been orphaned by AIDS alone, and there are 4.6 million orphans in Ethiopia

- 6.19.09 referral of healthy baby boy
- 9.24.08 officially on the waitlist
- 9.13.08 received I71H (official approval to adopt an orphan from U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services)
- 8.28.08 official approval to adopt through Gladney Center for Adoption
- 8.13.08 finalized homestudy sent to CIS
- 8.01.08 homestudy sent to Gladney for approval
- 7.29.08 FBI clearance recieved
- 7.22.08 2nd homestudy appointment
- 7.16.08 3rd set of fingerprints mailed for FBI clearance
- 6.30.08 engaged KBS to assist with dossier
- 6.27.08 2nd set of fingerprints for CIS
- 6.19.08 1st set of fingerprints mailed for criminal clearance
- 6.04.08 1st homestudy appointment
- 5.13.08 submitted official application to Gladney Center for Adoption
- 4.22.08 submitted petition for advance processing of orphan adoption to US CIS (form I600A)
- 3.20.08 received application from Gladney
- 3.18.08 Gladey received request for application
- 3.06.08 phone orientation with Gladney
- 2.28.08 sent in information sheet to Gladney and chose Gladney as my adoption agency
